Rollo complains that Badge is watching him. Grim points out that Rollo is also watching Badge. Rollo insists 'That's different.' Grim asks: 'Is it?' The peer review has turned everyone into both observer and observed, and the discomfort only flows one direction -- toward whoever notices first. You've felt surveilled by a colleague and then realized you were doing the same thing back.
