The Oracle announces a variance report has been filed. Rollo asks who filed it. The Oracle says: 'A friend.' The word 'friend' does double duty -- it implies care while concealing the informant. Badge is the obvious suspect, but the system protects his identity by relabeling betrayal as affection. You've been reported to HR by someone who prefaced it with 'I'm only saying this because I care about you.'
